March 26th - 29th, 2026
The Grand Bohemian, Charlotte, NC
The Level Up Conference for Authors (LUCA) is a private, invite only, small group event for established authors looking to take their business to the next level.
This event is not for those who are still waiting to publish their first book, or even those who have just begun publishing. At LUCA, you won't learn about how to publish with KDP or find a cover artist.
You WILL learn how to take your existing publishing business to the next level.
LUCA is for individuals with the drive, courage, and fortitude to commit themselves to writing and publishing books as a career rather than as a hobby. For those who are willing to stick it out for the long game rather than pursue the get-rich-quick shortcuts every guru claims their course can give you.
LUCA is for those authors looking to build connections with likeminded peers who will drive them to excellence in everything they do, forever pushing the boundaries of publishing to discover better ways to deliver high quality books to their growing audience.
Testimonials
"You'll walk away with actionable steps for improvement, a determined mind, and incredible encouragement. Between Seth's meticulous and thoroughly ideated strategies and Erin's deep understanding of human behavior and habit building, you can't help but walk away empowered."
"I’ve rarely come into contact with Seth and Erin without gaining an on-point takeaway for the business of writing. Their advice is not only well-informed, but also immediately doable and leverageable. As a full-time author who has seen growth due to applied advice, I can’t recommend their teaching enough."
"Seth and Erin deliver a true masterclass in self-publishing. Their business insights were game-changing, and the small-group setting made it personal and impactful. If you’re ready to level up your author career, this is a must-attend."
LUCA kicks off with an in-person, two day conference. The core focus of this two day event will be learning the primary principles you need to improve your book sales via leverage, focus, branding, and feedback. Moving from a strategic to tactical focus as each day progresses, attendees will have a practical and actionable roadmap for their unique business by the end of the second day.
Attendees should be ready for two days of focused learning, discussion, and brainstorming, but there will be plenty of time to get feedback and strategize around the needs of attendees' specific businesses, as well as space for more casual networking and one on one conversations.
Upon arrival, attendees will be given the Level Up Strategy Playbook, a comprehensive document outlining the strategies, processes, and best practices for scaling a fiction writing business.
Attendees will also get the Level Up Action Plan, a framework for identifying and capitalizing on leverage points that they will fill out over the course of the conference, building out their own personalized action plan.
After LUCA ends, attendees will be given access to the LUCA Clubhouse, a private discord server where they can continue the conversations and relationships started at the conference. The LUCA community is built around providing a positive, encouraging peer group of like minded professionals who know each other's businesses and needs. Quarterly virtual events after the conference will provide ongoing accountability and opportunity to troubleshoot business challenges.
Attendees will also get two hours of ongoing private consulting from Seth and Erin after the conference to help fine tune each attendee's Level Up Action Plan and provide support and accountability.
What We'll Cover

Seth dives into the mindset of macro focus—what it is and how it impacts your business from an aerial view to a granular perspective.
Erin pulls out the stops on experience with habit formation, mindset, and how to ensure your process is built to work with your brain instead of against it, from the ground up.
Capitalize on those aspects of your personal genre that deliver a top tier experience to your readers, and identify strategic shifts within your wheelhouse that ensure an outstanding consumer satisfaction every time.
Identify competitive advantage and apply it practically in your business.
Your readers don't just need any book in your genre—they need yours.
Develop a smooth and efficient feedback mechanism that serves you aggressively and in real time. Dial in on the heartbeat of your ideal readers and forever know exactly what they think of a story before it hits the market, in the powerful way that shows up on your sales dashboard.
